PARK, TEXAS, August 1, 2002 – TDK RF Solutions Inc. introduces the SAR-TS Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) Test System, an integrated hardware and software solution designed for measuring the thermal effects of human exposure to RF electromagnetic fields. The TDK SAR-TS is a turnkey solution for performing SAR measurements and is designed for both product manufacturers and test labs.
The purpose of SAR testing is to verify that the RF energy emitted by a device is within permissible limits for public exposure as defined by test standards. TDK SAR Test Systems are customized to meet specific test requirements, with each system designed to measure electromagnetic fields and calculated SAR over a customer-specified frequency range. A typical TDK SAR Test System includes the dielectric measurement system, TDK SAR dipole antenna, positioning robot and controller, SAR mannequin with tissue-simulating fluid, probe and measurement accessories, and system computer with application software. Options include a validation system that enables test engineers to perform a battery of tests to verify the system operates within its specifications and to ensure the accuracy of the complete measurement system, components, and software.
